Results
New
Oakland Pharmacy is located in Oakland's Chinatown.
Lighting quality is important to store management since
much of their merchandise is in colorful packaging and
placed on tall shelving. The Smart Lights Program helped
convert its fluorescent lamps to more energy lamps.
For the first two months after the energy retrofit,
the Pharmacy noticed a 19% reduction in the amount of
kilowatt hours billed per month, with an average monthly
savings of $264.
In
an independently conducted interview by business students
at San Francisco State University, Kim Wong, Manager
of the New Oakland Pharmacy, noted the other benefits
of the retrofit. He was very happy with how the lighting
quality has changed the look of his displays and has
made his store look more modern. “I love these
lights” said Mr. Kim Wong, Manager of the New
Oakland Pharmacy. “Smart Lights coordinated the
entire process very efficiently. They made it easy for
us to get better lights and achieve immediate energy
savings.”
